The TR-1 Gladiator display gives the customers something different than other autopilot manufacturers. First the TR-1 display can be customized for any boat or boat operator. A large easy to read transflective static LCD display with an anti-reflective coating gives you a clear view of the screen from most any angle on the boat or in glaring sunlight and is backlit for easy night vision. The display comes standard with a black trim ring, optional colors are available in red, white, & blue. Second, it displays current heading, the steering mode you are in such as; standby, autopilot or GPS. Third and most important it has rudder angle indication, a turn rate indicator, and a directional input dial. The directional input dial has two modes, one mode allows the operator to enter a desired heading and direct the autopilot to seek the new heading. Mode two enables the knob to be a rate of turn selector with the desired rate of of turn being indicated on the display.

The directional input dial has two modes that are selectable by a double click. One mode allows you to enter a desired heading, and then by a single click direct the autopilot to seek a new heading. Mode two enables the knob to be a rate of turn indicated by the bar display.

The display shows the steering mode of the autopilot at all times. When the autopilot is in GPS mode both the Auto and the GPS will be on.

Rudder reference or turn rate indicator is available on the display. Rudder angle indicator will require an additional after market transducer, purchased separately.
